We moved frequently-used keys such as Backspace or Enter to a reimagined thumb cluster and opted for a staggered ortholinear layout, compatible with standard keycap sets.

Unibody aluminium + magnets!
Our PCBs are seated in precision-machined unibody aluminium cases containing multiple neodymium magnets, opening up a world of possibilities with palm rests and other accessories.

THE MANIBUS STORY

April 2019
The first hand-wired MANIBUS prototype was born, followed by experiments with PCB design and an exploration of materials—plastics, metals, and even wood.

August 2020
The fifth prototype, with a significant reduction in dimensions by switching from a sandwich to a unibody design, as well as a redesigned thumb cluster.

October 2020
Blank Tehnologii SRL was officially registered as a company in our hometown of Timișoara, Romania.

December 2021
The MANIBUS group buy went live and successfully ended with orders from customers in a dozen countries across three continents.

July 2022
After some delays, we contracted case and PCB manufacturing amidst supply chain challenges.

Delivered the first batch of MANIBUS kits to our group buy customers.
